3.1. Konnektoren der Folge (Connectors of Consequence)

Examples with translations:
infolgedessen — as a consequence

3.2. Nominalstil in formellen Schreiben
German complaint letters often replace verbs with nouns. Example
Wir bitten um Ihre Rückmeldung. → We ask for your reply. literally: “We request for your response.”
This creates a formal, professional tone.
3.3. Passivformen für Beschwerden
Example:
Der Schaden wurde von Ihrem Team nicht behoben. → The damage was not repaired by your team.

German: Während meines letzten Urlaubs wurde mein Gepäck am Flughafen beschädigt. Obwohl ich den Schaden sofort meldete, erhielt ich zunächst keine Unterstützung. Das Hotelzimmer war kleiner als beschrieben und lag direkt über einer lauten Bar. Daher konnte ich kaum schlafen. Infolgedessen entschloss ich mich, eine ausführliche Beschwerde einzureichen.
Translation: During my last holiday my luggage was damaged at the airport. Although I reported the damage immediately, I initially received no support. The hotel room was smaller than described and was located directly above a loud bar. Therefore I could hardly sleep. As a consequence, I decided to submit a detailed complaint.
